Vespa’s and Lambretta’s are the legendary scooters design and built originally in Italy. In the UK Mods adopted the scooter as the mode of transport of choice, however the Italian scooter was really developed to mobilise the Italian population after World War II.
This image by David Barrow whisks up off to the Italian city, showing the scooter in action buzzing around the busy streets taking men, women and children from place to place. With more than nod to Impressionism this painting is perfect for any room where the design is intend to evoke Italian chic.
